Pattern KEEPING COSY by Deborah Love from The Handpicked Collection for Inspiration Studios, Featuring Deerfield Embroidery
Charming tea cosy pattern embellished with Deerfield embroidery and bobble trim.
Inspirations Studios describe this technique: "Originating in the 19th century in the Massachusetts town of Deerfield, this lovely needlework style borrows heavily from European crewelwork but employs lighter, more open designs and a limited palette of blue and white. Four shades of blue stranded cotton are used on a background of white linen and the cosy is finished with a fun bobble fringe around the curved outer edge."
This booklet includes complete instructions and full size pattern. 11 pages, full color illustrations and a list of required supplies are all included. Among the supplies are 4 shades of DMC stranded cotton. The cosy is made of 16"X32" piece of white linen. These are the easiest to find supplies.
